Concept to Action Book Club

How often have you read a great nonfiction book and thought “wow” these concepts can make a big difference in my life, my work, my family and/or my community – then you put the book on a shelf and that is the end of it? The Concept to Action Book Club bridges the gap between being excited about a concept and actually putting that concept into action. Read more...

Act with Power Blog

The Act with Power Blog is about understanding and getting in touch with the personal power that we all have. Power is more mindset than muscle. It is recognizing windows of opportunity where others only see barriers. It is acting rather than hesitating, and it is being motivated by aspiration rather than desperation.

This Blog will touch on many topics related to what increases and diminishes our power. For example, some Posts will be related to transitions into management and executive positions because this is the point in time where power is often most misunderstood and misapplied. Some Posts will speak to high potential women because for them transitioning to management and executive positions often is the time when they are most vulnerable to losing touch with their sense of personal power. Some Posts will address the dynamics of organizations and the role assumptions play in shaping behaviors. As with all Blogs, it will be organic so that topics and learning will evolve as new challenges, opportunities and trends emerge.
